On that day, many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, and in your name cast out demons and do many powerful deeds?’

And a leper approached, and bowed low before him, saying, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”

“Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, in terrible anguish.”

Another of the disciples said to him, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.”

But when he saw the strong wind he became afraid. And starting to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!”

They became greatly distressed and each one began to say to him, “Surely not I, Lord?”

and said, “Sir, we remember that while that deceiver was still alive he said, ‘After three days I will rise again.’

Then Peter said, “Lord, are you telling this parable for us or for everyone?”

Someone asked him, “Lord, will only a few be saved?” So he said to them,

Then the slave said, ‘Sir, what you instructed has been done, and there is still room.’

So the first one came before him and said, ‘Sir, your mina has made ten minas more.’

Then the second one came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has made five minas.’

But Peter said to him, “Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death!”

So they said, “Look, Lord, here are two swords.” Then he told them, “It is enough.”

When those who were around him saw what was about to happen, they said, “Lord, should we use our swords?”

Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life.

So the sisters sent a message to Jesus, “Lord, look, the one you love is sick.”

Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.

He asked, “Where have you laid him?” They replied, “Lord, come and see.”

Then he came to Simon Peter. Peter said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?”
