Woe to you Pharisees! You love the best seats in the synagogues and elaborate greetings in the marketplaces!

Woe to you! You are like unmarked graves, and people walk over them without realizing it!”

Woe to you! You build the tombs of the prophets whom your ancestors killed.

“Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father is well pleased to give you the kingdom.

Do you think I have come to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division!

“Exert every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.

But he will reply, ‘I don’t know where you come from! Go away from me, all you evildoers!’

For I tell you, not one of those individuals who were invited will taste my banquet!’”

In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.”
