He said, “Tomorrow.” And Moses said, “It will be as you say, so that you may know that there is no one like the Lord our God.

But as for you and your servants, I know that you do not yet fear the Lord God.”

But if you refuse to release my people, I am going to bring locusts into your territory tomorrow.

When your children ask you, ‘What does this ceremony mean to you?’ –

The Egyptians were urging the people on, in order to send them out of the land quickly, for they were saying, “We are all dead!”

And the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord when I have gained my honor because of Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.”

Miriam sang in response to them, “Sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and its rider he has thrown into the sea.”

Moses said, “Eat it today, for today is a Sabbath to the Lord; today you will not find it in the area.

for he said, “For a hand was lifted up to the throne of the Lord – that the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.”

and the other Eliezer (for Moses had said, “The God of my father has been my help and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh”).

Moses said to his father-in-law, “Because the people come to me to inquire of God.

“If you buy a Hebrew servant, he is to serve you for six years, but in the seventh year he will go out free without paying anything.

“If a man sells his daughter as a female servant, she will not go out as the male servants do.

But if a man willfully attacks his neighbor to kill him cunningly, you will take him even from my altar that he may die.

However, if the injured servant survives one or two days, the owner will not be punished, for he has suffered the loss.

“You must not wrong a foreigner nor oppress him, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.

“If you encounter your enemy’s ox or donkey wandering off, you must by all means return it to him.

Keep your distance from a false charge – do not kill the innocent and the righteous, for I will not justify the wicked.

“You must not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see and subverts the words of the righteous.

But he added, “You cannot see my face, for no one can see me and live.”
