Their land is full of gold and silver; there is no end to their wealth. Their land is full of horses; there is no end to their chariots.

But these people are looted and plundered; all of them are trapped in pits and held captive in prisons. They were carried away as loot with no one to rescue them; they were carried away as plunder, and no one says, “Bring that back!”

My sheep wandered over all the mountains and on every high hill. My sheep were scattered over the entire face of the earth with no one looking or searching for them.

The Lord alone was guiding him, no foreign god was with him.

Otherwise they will rip me to shreds like a lion; they will tear me to bits and no one will be able to rescue me.

They cry out, but there is no one to help them; they cry out to the Lord, but he does not answer them.

There is no actual speech or word, nor is its voice literally heard.

Evil men will soon disappear; you will stare at the spot where they once were, but they will be gone.
