In the abundance of your majesty you have overthrown those who rise up against you. You sent forth your wrath; it consumed them like stubble.

As Aaron spoke to the whole community of the Israelites and they looked toward the desert, there the glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud,

and her two sons, one of whom was named Gershom (for Moses had said, “I have been a foreigner in a foreign land”),

I will not drive them out before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the wild animals multiply against you.

“You are to make its seven lamps, and then set its lamps up on it, so that it will give light to the area in front of it.

When Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said to Moses, “It is the sound of war in the camp!”

the woven garments for serving in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments for his sons to minister as priests.”

They set the onyx stones in gold filigree settings, engraved as with the engravings of a seal with the names of the sons of Israel.

When it reverts in the jubilee, the field will be holy to the Lord like a permanently dedicated field; it will become the priest’s property.

In the jubilee year the field will return to the one from whom he bought it, the one to whom it belongs as landed property.

“Speak to Aaron and tell him, ‘When you set up the lamps, the seven lamps are to give light in front of the lampstand.’”

“After this, the Levites will go in to do the work of the tent of meeting. So you must cleanse them and offer them like a wave offering.

Moses said, “Do not leave us, because you know places for us to camp in the wilderness, and you could be our guide.

‘Because the Lord was not able to bring this people into the land that he swore to them, he killed them in the wilderness.’

(Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites were living in the valleys.) Tomorrow, turn and journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea.”

The Lord replied to Moses, “Take Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom is such a spirit, and lay your hand on him;

For if you turn away from following him, he will once again abandon them in the wilderness, and you will be the reason for their destruction.”

The Lord your God is about to go ahead of you; he will fight for you, just as you saw him do in Egypt

all the cities of the plateau, all of Gilead and Bashan as far as Salecah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

But your wives, children, and livestock (of which I know you have many) may remain in the cities I have given you.
