Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like this.”

Now when Jesus had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about the parable.

Then he said to her, “Because you said this, you may go. The demon has left your daughter.”

Jesus ordered them not to tell anything. But as much as he ordered them not to do this, they proclaimed it all the more.

“I have compassion on the crowd, because they have already been here with me three days, and they have nothing to eat.

His disciples answered him, “Where can someone get enough bread in this desolate place to satisfy these people?”

Immediately he got into a boat with his disciples and went to the district of Dalmanutha.

“When I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many baskets full of pieces did you pick up?” They replied, “Seven.”

For what benefit is it for a person to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his life?

They kept this statement to themselves, discussing what this rising from the dead meant.

Then they asked him, “Why do the experts in the law say that Elijah must come first?”

He told them, “This kind can come out only by prayer.”

They went out from there and passed through Galilee. But Jesus did not want anyone to know,

Then some Pharisees came, and to test him they asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”

and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh.

Peter began to speak to him, “Look, we have left everything to follow you!”

Many scolded him to get him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Some people standing there said to them, “What are you doing, untying that colt?”

Many spread their cloaks on the road and others spread branches they had cut in the fields.

Peter remembered and said to him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered.”
