Now when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?”

Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying:

All the law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”

While the Pharisees were assembled, Jesus asked them a question:

Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples,

Nor are you to be called ‘teacher,’ for you have one teacher, the Christ.

Jesus answered them, “Watch out that no one misleads you.

The one on the roof must not come down to take anything out of his house,

and the one in the field must not turn back to get his cloak.

Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe him.

“Therefore stay alert, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.

But at midnight there was a shout, ‘Look, the bridegroom is here! Come out to meet him.’

But he replied, ‘I tell you the truth, I do not know you!’

Then one of the twelve, the one named Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests

Get up, let us go. Look! My betrayer is approaching!”

saying, “Prophesy for us, you Christ! Who hit you?”

But he denied it in front of them all: “I don’t know what you’re talking about!”

For this reason that field has been called the “Field of Blood” to this day.

Then Pilate said to him, “Don’t you hear how many charges they are bringing against you?”

They came to a place called Golgotha (which means “Place of the Skull”)
