Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Stand up, take your stretcher, and walk’?

But no one is able to enter a strong man’s house and steal his property unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can thoroughly plunder his house.

But other seed fell on good soil and produced grain, sprouting and growing; some yielded thirty times as much, some sixty, and some a hundred times.”

He also said to them, “A lamp isn’t brought to be put under a basket or under a bed, is it? Isn’t it to be placed on a lampstand?

So he got up and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Be quiet! Calm down!” Then the wind stopped, and it was dead calm.

Now the herdsmen ran off and spread the news in the town and countryside, and the people went out to see what had happened.

He instructed them to take nothing for the journey except a staff – no bread, no bag, no money in their belts –

When it was already late, his disciples came to him and said, “This is an isolated place and it is already very late.

They brought to him a deaf man who had difficulty speaking, and they asked him to place his hands on him.

Jesus ordered them not to tell anything. But as much as he ordered them not to do this, they proclaimed it all the more.

Six days later Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John and led them alone up a high mountain privately. And he was transfigured before them,

Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with each other.”

They will mock him, spit on him, flog him severely, and kill him. Yet after three days, he will rise again.”

So they answered Jesus, “We don’t know.” Then Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.”

But those tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and the inheritance will be ours!’

Then Jesus said to them, “Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” And they were utterly amazed at him.

The expert in the law said to him, “That is true, Teacher; you are right to say that he is one, and there is no one else besides him.

David himself, by the Holy Spirit, said, ‘The Lord said to my lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet.”’

Then he sat down opposite the offering box, and watched the crowd putting coins into it. Many rich people were throwing in large amounts.

Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone will be left on another. All will be torn down!”
