Then he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out and it was restored, as healthy as the other.

But when the Pharisees heard this they said, “He does not cast out demons except by the power of Beelzebul, the ruler of demons!”

To the one who had said this, Jesus replied, “Who is my mother and who are my brothers?”

And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them.

He presented them with another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a person who sowed good seed in his field.

But while everyone was sleeping, an enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away.

So the slaves of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Then where did the weeds come from?’

Then John’s disciples came and took the body and buried it and went and told Jesus.

Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why couldn’t we cast it out?”

After they arrived in Capernaum, the collectors of the temple tax came to Peter and said, “Your teacher pays the double drachma tax, doesn’t he?”

At that time the disciples came to Jesus saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”

When his fellow slaves saw what had happened, they were very upset and went and told their lord everything that had taken place.

So also my heavenly Father will do to you, if each of you does not forgive your brother from your heart.”

So they answered Jesus, “We don’t know.” Then he said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.

The father went to the other son and said the same thing. This boy answered, ‘I will, sir,’ but did not go.

‘The Lord said to my lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet”’?

They tie up heavy loads, hard to carry, and put them on men’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing even to lift a finger to move them.

And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our ancestors, we would not have participated with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’

For the one who has will be given more, and he will have more than enough. But the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.

“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you accursed, into the eternal fire that has been prepared for the devil and his angels!
