came to me and stood beside me and said to me, ‘Brother Saul, regain your sight!’ And at that very moment I looked up and saw him.

I replied, ‘Lord, they themselves know that I imprisoned and beat those in the various synagogues who believed in you.

When they had stretched him out for the lash, Paul said to the centurion standing nearby, “Is it legal for you to lash a man who is a Roman citizen without a proper trial?”

Paul looked directly at the council and said, “Brothers, I have lived my life with a clear conscience before God to this day.”

So I said, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ And the Lord replied, ‘I am Jesus whom you are persecuting.

Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, “Unless these men stay with the ship, you cannot be saved.”

But the righteousness that is by faith says: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down)

But if someone says to you, “This is from a sacrifice,” do not eat, because of the one who told you and because of conscience –

and after he had given thanks he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”

If the foot says, “Since I am not a hand, I am not part of the body,” it does not lose its membership in the body because of that.

And if the ear says, “Since I am not an eye, I am not part of the body,” it does not lose its membership in the body because of that.

For he has put everything in subjection under his feet. But when it says “everything” has been put in subjection, it is clear that this does not include the one who put everything in subjection to him.

“Therefore, I became provoked at that generation and said, ‘Their hearts are always wandering and they have not known my ways.’

“Then I said, ‘Here I am: I have come – it is written of me in the scroll of the book – to do your will, O God.’”

For we know the one who said, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people.”

For he who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a violator of the law.

If we say we have fellowship with him and yet keep on walking in the darkness, we are lying and not practicing the truth.

If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar and his word is not in us.

But I say to you that anyone who is angry with a brother will be subjected to judgment. And whoever insults a brother will be brought before the council, and whoever says ‘Fool’ will be sent to fiery hell.

Jesus answered them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.
