So the Israelites did so, and expelled them outside the camp. As the Lord had spoken to Moses, so the Israelites did.

“Speak to the Israelites and tell them, ‘If any man’s wife goes astray and behaves unfaithfully toward him,

“Speak to the Israelites, and tell them, ‘When either a man or a woman takes a special vow, to take a vow as a Nazirite, to separate himself to the Lord,

On the eighth day he is to bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons to the priest, to the entrance to the tent of meeting.

“Tell Aaron and his sons, ‘This is the way you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them:

And early in the morning they went up to the crest of the hill country, saying, “Here we are, and we will go up to the place that the Lord commanded, for we have sinned.”

When Korah assembled the whole community against them at the entrance of the tent of meeting, then the glory of the Lord appeared to the whole community.

You must give it to Eleazar the priest so that he can take it outside the camp, and it must be slaughtered before him.

So Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly to the entrance to the tent of meeting. They then threw themselves down with their faces to the ground, and the glory of the Lord appeared to them.

And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron in Mount Hor, by the border of the land of Edom. He said:

So the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the fee for divination in their hand. They came to Balaam and reported to him the words of Balak.

He replied to them, “Stay here tonight, and I will bring back to you whatever word the Lord may speak to me.” So the princes of Moab stayed with Balaam.

So Balaam got up in the morning, and said to the princes of Balak, “Go to your land, for the Lord has refused to permit me to go with you.”

And they came to Balaam and said to him, “Thus says Balak son of Zippor: ‘Please do not let anything hinder you from coming to me.

And when the donkey saw the angel of the Lord, she pressed herself into the wall, and crushed Balaam’s foot against the wall. So he beat her again.

Then God met Balaam, who said to him, “I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered on each altar a bull and a ram.”

Then the Lord met Balaam and put a message in his mouth and said, “Return to Balak, and speak what I tell you.”

But Balaam replied to Balak, “Did I not tell you, ‘All that the Lord speaks, I must do’?”

Balak said to Balaam, “Come, please; I will take you to another place. Perhaps it will please God to let you curse them for me from there.”

After the plague the Lord said to Moses and to Eleazar son of Aaron the priest,
