He looked this way and that and saw that no one was there, and then he attacked the Egyptian and concealed the body in the sand.

God heard their groaning, God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob,

You will also take in your hand this staff, with which you will do the signs.”

That same day Pharaoh commanded the slave masters and foremen who were over the people:

All the Egyptians dug around the Nile for water to drink, because they could not drink the water of the Nile.

In the evening the quail came up and covered the camp, and in the morning a layer of dew was all around the camp.

Whenever Moses would raise his hands, then Israel prevailed, but whenever he would rest his hands, then Amalek prevailed.

The people kept their distance, but Moses drew near the thick darkness where God was.

The Levites did what Moses ordered, and that day about three thousand men of the people died.
