and said, “Lord, have mercy on my son, because he has seizures and suffers terribly, for he often falls into the fire and into the water.

Then Peter came to him and said, “Lord, how many times must I forgive my brother who sins against me? As many as seven times?”

Because he was not able to repay it, the lord ordered him to be sold, along with his wife, children, and whatever he possessed, and repayment to be made.

When his fellow slaves saw what had happened, they were very upset and went and told their lord everything that had taken place.

Then his lord called the first slave and said to him, ‘Evil slave! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me!

“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

But the centurion replied, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof. Instead, just say the word and my servant will be healed.

When he went into the house, the blind men came to him. Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to him, “Yes, Lord.”

It is enough for the disciple to become like his teacher, and the slave like his master. If they have called the head of the house ‘Beelzebul,’ how much more will they defame the members of his household!

At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and revealed them to little children.
