Two blind men were sitting by the road. When they heard that Jesus was passing by, they shouted, “Have mercy on us, Lord, Son of David!”

And those slaves went out into the streets and gathered all they found, both bad and good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.

As it is written in Isaiah the prophet, “Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way,

Jesus was going through the grain fields on a Sabbath, and his disciples began to pick some heads of wheat as they made their way.

And as he sowed, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured it.

He instructed them to take nothing for the journey except a staff – no bread, no bag, no money in their belts –

If I send them home hungry, they will faint on the way, and some of them have come from a great distance.”

Now as Jesus was starting out on his way, someone ran up to him, fell on his knees, and said, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

Jesus said to him, “Go, your faith has healed you.” Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the road.

but (because they assumed that he was in their group of travelers) they went a day’s journey. Then they began to look for him among their relatives and acquaintances.

Every valley will be filled, and every mountain and hill will be brought low, and the crooked will be made straight, and the rough ways will be made smooth,

This is the one about whom it is written, ‘Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.’

He said to them, “Take nothing for your journey – no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, and do not take an extra tunic.

So the master said to his slave, ‘Go out to the highways and country roads and urge people to come in, so that my house will be filled.

They said to each other, “Didn’t our hearts burn within us while he was speaking with us on the road, while he was explaining the scriptures to us?”

John said, “I am the voice of one shouting in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord,’ as Isaiah the prophet said.”

Jesus replied, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Now as they were going along the road, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “Look, there is water! What is to stop me from being baptized?”

Then Felix, who understood the facts concerning the Way more accurately, adjourned their hearing, saying, “When Lysias the commanding officer comes down, I will decide your case.”

about noon along the road, Your Majesty, I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining everywhere around me and those traveling with me.
