Simeon took him in his arms and blessed God, saying,

Jesus answered him, “It is said, ‘You are not to put the Lord your God to the test.’”

And he added, “I tell you the truth, no prophet is acceptable in his hometown.

When Jesus saw their faith he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.”

He also told them a parable: “Someone who is blind cannot lead another who is blind, can he? Won’t they both fall into a pit?

When the Lord saw her, he had compassion for her and said to her, “Do not weep.”

He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

While a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus from one town after another, he spoke to them in a parable:

But Jesus said, “Someone touched me, for I know that power has gone out from me.”

Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”

(Now about five thousand men were there.) Then he said to his disciples, “Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each.”

But Jesus said to him, “Do not stop him, for whoever is not against you is for you.”

As they were walking along the road, someone said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.”

Then Jesus turned to his disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see!

But the expert, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”

But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things,

But he replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it!”

But Jesus said to him, “Man, who made me a judge or arbitrator between you two?”

Then Peter said, “Lord, are you telling this parable for us or for everyone?”

When Jesus saw her, he called her to him and said, “Woman, you are freed from your infirmity.”
