In fact, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”

So also you, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.

So they said, “Look, Lord, here are two swords.” Then he told them, “It is enough.”

And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do the same.

And if you lend to those from whom you hope to be repaid, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, so that they may be repaid in full.

“Everyone who comes to me and listens to my words and puts them into practice – I will show you what he is like:

When they came to Jesus, they urged him earnestly, “He is worthy to have you do this for him,

This is the one about whom it is written, ‘Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.’

For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, and nothing concealed that will not be made known and brought to light.

Jesus then asked him, “What is your name?” He said, “Legion,” because many demons had entered him.

Herod said, “I had John beheaded, but who is this about whom I hear such things?” So Herod wanted to learn about Jesus.

Then a voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, my Chosen One. Listen to him!”

Then a man from the crowd cried out, “Teacher, I beg you to look at my son – he is my only child!
