When the fish that were in the Nile died, the Nile began to stink, so that the Egyptians could not drink water from the Nile. There was blood everywhere in the land of Egypt!

All the Egyptians dug around the Nile for water to drink, because they could not drink the water of the Nile.

And the Lord did this on the next day; all the livestock of the Egyptians died, but of the Israelites’ livestock not one died.

The magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils, for boils were on the magicians and on all the Egyptians.

I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will chase after them. I will gain honor because of Pharaoh and because of all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord.” So this is what they did.

When Israel saw the great power that the Lord had exercised over the Egyptians, they feared the Lord, and they believed in the Lord and in his servant Moses.

Jethro rejoiced because of all the good that the Lord had done for Israel, whom he had delivered from the hand of Egypt.

‘You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt and how I lifted you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself.

Now an Israelite woman’s son whose father was an Egyptian went out among the Israelites, and the Israelite woman’s son and an Israelite man had a fight in the camp.

Moses said to the Lord, “When the Egyptians hear it – for you brought up this people by your power from among them –

Now the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn, whom the Lord had killed among them; the Lord also executed judgments on their gods.

You must not hate an Edomite, for he is your relative; you must not hate an Egyptian, for you lived as a foreigner in his land.

I rescued you from Egypt’s power and from the power of all who oppressed you. I drove them out before you and gave their land to you.

Why harden your hearts like the Egyptians and Pharaoh did? When God treated them harshly, didn’t the Egyptians send the Israelites on their way?

Then they found an Egyptian in the field and brought him to David. They gave him bread to eat and water to drink.

So after Abram had lived in Canaan for ten years, Sarai, Abram’s wife, gave Hagar, her Egyptian servant, to her husband to be his wife.
