Moses went up the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.

When Moses finished speaking with them, he would put a veil on his face.

So the whole community of the Israelites went out from the presence of Moses.

Now when Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand – when he came down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.

When the Israelites would see the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face shone, Moses would put the veil on his face again, until he went in to speak with the Lord.

When some shepherds came and drove them away, Moses came up and defended them and then watered their flock.

The Lord said, “Throw it to the ground.” So he threw it to the ground, and it became a snake, and Moses ran from it.

Then Moses and Aaron went and brought together all the Israelite elders.

When they went out from Pharaoh, they encountered Moses and Aaron standing there to meet them,

But Moses said before the Lord, “Since I speak with difficulty, why should Pharaoh listen to me?”

So the Lord said to Moses, “See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet.

And Moses and Aaron did so; they did just as the Lord commanded them.

Now Moses was eighty years old and Aaron was eighty-three years old when they spoke to Pharaoh.

The Lord said to Moses, “Pharaoh’s heart is hard; he refuses to release the people.

Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “Go, sacrifice to your God within the land.”

Then Pharaoh quickly summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “I have sinned against the Lord your God and against you!

But Moses said, “Will you also provide us with sacrifices and burnt offerings that we may present them to the Lord our God?

Moses said, “As you wish! I will not see your face again.”

Moses said, “Thus says the Lord: ‘About midnight I will go throughout Egypt,

The Lord said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt,
