David defeated King Hadadezer son of Rehob of Zobah when he came to reestablish his authority over the Euphrates River.

The king asked him, “Where is he?” Ziba told the king, “He is at the house of Makir son of Ammiel in Lo Debar.

Then David became very angry at this man. He said to Nathan, “As surely as the Lord lives, the man who did this deserves to die!
