So Moses went out from Pharaoh and prayed to the Lord,

But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he was not willing to release them.

Moses built an altar, and he called it “The Lord is my Banner,”

You are to kill the bull before the Lord at the entrance to the tent of meeting

Then the Lord relented over the evil that he had said he would do to his people.

The Lord said, “Here is a place by me; you will station yourself on a rock.

Moses said, “You will know this when the Lord gives you meat to eat in the evening and bread in the morning to satisfy you, because the Lord has heard your murmurings that you are murmuring against him. As for us, what are we? Your murmurings are not against us, but against the Lord.”

You must say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says the Lord, “Israel is my son, my firstborn,

But Moses said before the Lord, “Since I speak with difficulty, why should Pharaoh listen to me?”

So the Lord said to Moses, “See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet.

And Moses and Aaron did so; they did just as the Lord commanded them.

Yet Pharaoh’s heart became hard, and he did not listen to them, just as the Lord had predicted.

The Lord said to Moses, “Pharaoh’s heart is hard; he refuses to release the people.

But as for you and your servants, I know that you do not yet fear the Lord God.”

But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he did not release the Israelites.

Moses said, “Thus says the Lord: ‘About midnight I will go throughout Egypt,

The Lord said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt,

and the Israelites went away and did exactly as the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron.

You are to tell your son on that day, ‘It is because of what the Lord did for me when I came out of Egypt.’

The Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on.
