Who has prescribed his ways for him? Or said to him, ‘You have done what is wicked’?

See how he scattered his lightning about him; he has covered the depths of the sea.

His thunder announces the coming storm, the cattle also, concerning the storm’s approach.

Will partners bargain for it? Will they divide it up among the merchants?

If you lay your hand on it, you will remember the fight, and you will never do it again!

The folds of its flesh are tightly joined; they are firm on it, immovable.

Your deliverance brings him great honor; you give him majestic splendor.

Commit your future to the Lord! Trust in him, and he will act on your behalf.

You have cut short his youth, and have covered him with shame. (Selah)
