And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice more over it than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray.

“For this reason, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his slaves.

The disciples said to him, “If this is the case of a husband with a wife, it is better not to marry!”

Again I say, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter into the kingdom of God.”

“For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire workers for his vineyard.

Am I not permitted to do what I want with what belongs to me? Or are you envious because I am generous?’

Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came to him with her sons, and kneeling down she asked him for a favor.

Just then the temple curtain was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks were split apart.

He said, “The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the gospel!”

Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Stand up, take your stretcher, and walk’?

Then Jesus’ mother and his brothers came. Standing outside, they sent word to him, to summon him.

A crowd was sitting around him and they said to him, “Look, your mother and your brothers are outside looking for you.”

And looking at those who were sitting around him in a circle, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers!
