The Lord said to Jeremiah:

Jeremiah answered them, “Tell Zedekiah

The Lord spoke to Jeremiah.

That was when the Lord spoke to Jeremiah,

The Lord gave the prophet Jeremiah a message for them. He told him to tell them,

At Tahpanhes the Lord spoke to Jeremiah.

But this I call to mind; therefore I have hope:

You heard my plea: “Do not close your ears to my cry for relief!”

“Son of man, turn toward Sidon and prophesy against it.

Then he brought me to the north gate, and he measured it; it had the same dimensions as the others –

Then he brought me to the gate that faced toward the east.

Then the king of the north will advance against the empire of the king of the south, but will withdraw to his own land.

This is the Lord’s message that was given to Joel the son of Pethuel:

The Lord said to Jonah son of Amittai,

Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the stomach of the fish

The Lord said to Jonah a second time,

This displeased Jonah terribly and he became very angry.

What follows is divine revelation. The word of the Lord came to Israel through Malachi:

But God heard the boy’s voice. The angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and asked her, “What is the matter, Hagar? Don’t be afraid, for God has heard the boy’s voice right where he is crying.

I have come down to deliver them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up from that land to a land that is both good and spacious, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the region of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.
