But Zacchaeus stopped and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, half of my possessions I now give to the poor, and if I have cheated anyone of anything, I am paying back four times as much!”

Is it right for us to pay the tribute tax to Caesar or not?”

He must become more important while I become less important.”

I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me. If someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him.

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. The one who comes to me will never go hungry, and the one who believes in me will never be thirsty.

Now this is the will of the one who sent me – that I should not lose one person of every one he has given me, but raise them all up at the last day.

Jesus replied, “You people are from below; I am from above. You people are from this world; I am not from this world.

“I have spoken these things while staying with you.

This I command you – to love one another.

Remember what I told you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they obeyed my word, they will obey yours too.

“I have told you all these things so that you will not fall away.

Then some of his disciples said to one another, “What is the meaning of what he is saying, ‘In a little while you will not see me; again after a little while, you will see me,’ and, ‘because I am going to the Father’?”
