When David was old and approaching the end of his life, he made his son Solomon king over Israel.

and the sons of Jehieli, Zetham and his brother Joel. They were in charge of the storehouses in the Lord’s temple.

As for the Izharites: Kenaniah and his sons were given responsibilities outside the temple as officers and judges over Israel.

All who possessed precious stones donated them to the treasury of the Lord’s temple, which was under the supervision of Jehiel the Gershonite.

Solomon son of David solidified his royal authority, for the Lord his God was with him and magnified him greatly.

Solomon left the meeting tent at the worship center in Gibeon and went to Jerusalem, where he reigned over Israel.

He overlaid the temple’s rafters, thresholds, walls and doors with gold; he carved decorative cherubim on the walls.
