For I don’t understand what I am doing. For I do not do what I want – instead, I do what I hate.

to finish what you started, so that just as you wanted to do it eagerly, you can also complete it according to your means.

Let such a person consider this: What we say by letters when we are absent, we also are in actions when we are present.

So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who belong to the family of faith.
