then let me sow and let another eat, and let my crops be uprooted.

My heart is parched and withered like grass, for I am unable to eat food.

and you may sow the eighth year and eat from that sixth year’s produce – old produce. Until you bring in the ninth year’s produce, you may eat old produce.

“And say to the people, ‘Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, and you will eat meat, for you have wept in the hearing of the Lord, saying, “Who will give us meat to eat, for life was good for us in Egypt?” Therefore the Lord will give you meat, and you will eat.

All those who behave wickedly do not understand – those who devour my people as if they were eating bread, and do not call out to God.
