So he said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.

He said to him, “What is written in the law? How do you understand it?”

Jesus said to him, “You have answered correctly; do this, and you will live.”

He then told them a parable: “The land of a certain rich man produced an abundant crop,

Again he said, “To what should I compare the kingdom of God?

Another said, ‘I just got married, and I cannot come.’

Now large crowds were accompanying Jesus, and turning to them he said,

So Jesus told them this parable:

Then he said to the man, “Get up and go your way. Your faith has made you well.”

And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unrighteous judge says!

The man replied, “I have wholeheartedly obeyed all these laws since my youth.”

He replied, “What is impossible for mere humans is possible for God.”

“What do you want me to do for you?” He replied, “Lord, let me see again.”

Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.”

So the king said to him, ‘And you are to be over five cities.’

After Jesus had said this, he continued on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.

So those who were sent ahead found it exactly as he had told them.

But Jesus perceived their deceit and said to them,

Then some of the experts in the law answered, “Teacher, you have spoken well!”

But he said to them, “How is it that they say that the Christ is David’s son?
