So then they said to him, “What must we do to accomplish the deeds God requires?”

The man replied, “And who is he, sir, that I may believe in him?”

The Jewish leaders picked up rocks again to stone him to death.

So from that day they planned together to kill him.

So the chief priests planned to kill Lazarus too,

Now some Greeks were among those who had gone up to worship at the feast.

For I have given you an example – you should do just as I have done for you.

I have told you now before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe.

And I set myself apart on their behalf, so that they too may be truly set apart.

Then Pilate handed him over to them to be crucified.So they took Jesus,

For these things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled, “Not a bone of his will be broken.”

and provide mounts for Paul to ride so that he may be brought safely to Felix the governor.”

What shall we say then? Are we to remain in sin so that grace may increase?

so they too have now been disobedient in order that, by the mercy shown to you, they too may now receive mercy.

For God has consigned all people to disobedience so that he may show mercy to them all.

For this reason Christ died and returned to life, so that he may be the Lord of both the dead and the living.

so that by God’s will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company.

so that no one can say that you were baptized in my name!

so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

so that your faith would not be based on human wisdom but on the power of God.
