While they were eating, he took bread, and after giving thanks he broke it, gave it to them, and said, “Take it. This is my body.”

“I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more they can do.

Then the disciples said to him, “Where, Lord?” He replied to them, “Where the dead body is, there the vultures will gather.”

The women who had accompanied Jesus from Galilee followed, and they saw the tomb and how his body was laid in it.

and when they did not find his body, they came back and said they had seen a vision of angels, who said he was alive.

Then they took Jesus’ body and wrapped it, with the aromatic spices, in strips of linen cloth according to Jewish burial customs.

And she saw two angels in white sitting where Jesus’ body had been lying, one at the head and one at the feet.

Therefore God gave them over in the desires of their hearts to impurity, to dishonor their bodies among themselves.

Without being weak in faith, he considered his own body as dead (because he was about one hundred years old) and the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

For this reason, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body. Whether Jews or Greeks or slaves or free, we were all made to drink of the one Spirit.

and those members we consider less honorable we clothe with greater honor, and our unpresentable members are clothed with dignity,

but our presentable members do not need this. Instead, God has blended together the body, giving greater honor to the lesser member,

If I give away everything I own, and if I give over my body in order to boast, but do not have love, I receive no benefit.
