When they gathered together in Galilee, Jesus told them, “The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men.

and said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn around and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven!

Then Peter came to him and said, “Lord, how many times must I forgive my brother who sins against me? As many as seven times?”

He answered, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator made them male and female,

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it will be hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven!

Then Peter said to him, “Look, we have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?”

As Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve aside privately and said to them on the way,

But Jesus called them and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in high positions use their authority over them.

“What do you think? A man had two sons. He went to the first and said, ‘Son, go and work in the vineyard today.’

Jesus answered them, “You are deceived, because you don’t know the scriptures or the power of God.

‘The Lord said to my lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet”’?

The one with the two talents also came and said, ‘Sir, you entrusted two talents to me. See, I have gained two more.’

When Jesus learned of this, he said to them, “Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a good service for me.

and said, “What will you give me to betray him into your hands?” So they set out thirty silver coins for him.

He answered, “The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me.

Then Judas, the one who would betray him, said, “Surely not I, Rabbi?” Jesus replied, “You have said it yourself.”

Jesus said to him, “Friend, do what you are here to do.” Then they came and took hold of Jesus and arrested him.

So after they had assembled, Pilate said to them, “Whom do you want me to release for you, Jesus Barabbas or Jesus who is called the Christ?”

The governor asked them, “Which of the two do you want me to release for you?” And they said, “Barabbas!”

But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.
