Jesus replied, “This is the deed God requires – to believe in the one whom he sent.”

They asked the parents, “Is this your son, whom you say was born blind? Then how does he now see?”

Then, six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus lived, whom he had raised from the dead.

One of his disciples, the one Jesus loved, was at the table to the right of Jesus in a place of honor.

Now this is eternal life – that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you sent.

You killed the Originator of life, whom God raised from the dead. To this fact we are witnesses!

This one heaven must receive until the time all things are restored, which God declared from times long ago through his holy prophets.

We are witnesses of all the things he did both in Judea and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a tree,

Rather they had several points of disagreement with him about their own religion and about a man named Jesus who was dead, whom Paul claimed to be alive.

So I said, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ And the Lord replied, ‘I am Jesus whom you are persecuting.
