nor did I go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before me, but right away I departed to Arabia, and then returned to Damascus.

But we did not surrender to them even for a moment, in order that the truth of the gospel would remain with you.

For you all are sons of the light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of the darkness.

People do not light a lamp and put it under a basket but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house.

Why do you worry about clothing? Think about how the flowers of the field grow; they do not work or spin.

“No one after lighting a lamp puts it in a hidden place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, so that those who come in can see the light.

For a while he refused, but later on he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor have regard for people,

But the other rebuked him, saying, “Don’t you fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation?

She replied, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “I do not condemn you either. Go, and from now on do not sin any more.”]]

You do not realize that it is more to your advantage to have one man die for the people than for the whole nation to perish.”

I tell you the solemn truth, the slave is not greater than his master, nor is the one who is sent as a messenger greater than the one who sent him.
