But the things God foretold long ago through all the prophets – that his Christ would suffer – he has fulfilled in this way.

Then Paul went back upstairs, and after he had broken bread and eaten, he talked with them a long time, until dawn. Then he left.

Thus we urged Titus that, just as he had previously begun this work, so also he should complete this act of kindness for you.

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are following a different gospel –

So also we, when we were minors, were enslaved under the basic forces of the world.

But as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

Be imitators of me, brothers and sisters, and watch carefully those who are living this way, just as you have us as an example.

So then, my brothers and sisters, dear friends whom I long to see, my joy and crown, stand in the Lord in this way, my dear friends!
