Moses said, “Eat it today, for today is a Sabbath to the Lord; today you will not find it in the area.

So the Lord said to Moses, “How long do you refuse to obey my commandments and my instructions?

Just as the Lord commanded Moses, so Aaron placed it before the Testimony for safekeeping.

Then Moses cried out to the Lord, “What will I do with this people? – a little more and they will stone me!”

Whenever Moses would raise his hands, then Israel prevailed, but whenever he would rest his hands, then Amalek prevailed.

He said to Moses, “I, your father-in-law Jethro, am coming to you, along with your wife and her two sons with her.”

Moses said to his father-in-law, “Because the people come to me to inquire of God.

Moses’ father-in-law said to him, “What you are doing is not good!

The Lord said to Moses, “Go to the people and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and make them wash their clothes

Then Moses went down from the mountain to the people and sanctified the people, and they washed their clothes.

Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet God, and they took their place at the foot of the mountain.

When the sound of the horn grew louder and louder, Moses was speaking and God was answering him with a voice.

Moses alone may come near the Lord, but the others must not come near, nor may the people go up with him.”

Moses took half of the blood and put it in bowls, and half of the blood he splashed on the altar.

When Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said to Moses, “It is the sound of war in the camp!”

Moses saw that the people were running wild, for Aaron had let them get completely out of control, causing derision from their enemies.

The Lord said to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against me – that person I will wipe out of my book.

This is what Moses did, according to all the Lord had commanded him – so he did.

And he set the bread in order on it before the Lord, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Then he set up the lamps before the Lord, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
