So Jesus came outside, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. Pilate said to them, “Look, here is the man!”

and he went back into the governor’s residence and said to Jesus, “Where do you come from?” But Jesus gave him no answer.

Nicodemus, the man who had previously come to Jesus at night, accompanied Joseph, carrying a mixture of myrrh and aloes weighing about seventy-five pounds.

Then they took Jesus’ body and wrapped it, with the aromatic spices, in strips of linen cloth according to Jewish burial customs.

The two were running together, but the other disciple ran faster than Peter and reached the tomb first.

Then Simon Peter, who had been following him, arrived and went right into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen cloth lying there,

and the face cloth, which had been around Jesus’ head, not lying with the strips of linen cloth but rolled up in a place by itself.

Then the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, came in, and he saw and believed.

And she saw two angels in white sitting where Jesus’ body had been lying, one at the head and one at the feet.

In those days Peter stood up among the believers (a gathering of about one hundred and twenty people) and said,

This became known to all who lived in Jerusalem, so that in their own language they called that field Hakeldama, that is, “Field of Blood.”)

All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit, and they began to speak in other languages as the Spirit enabled them.

When this sound occurred, a crowd gathered and was in confusion, because each one heard them speaking in his own language.

praising God and having the good will of all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number every day those who were being saved.

He jumped up, stood and began walking around, and he entered the temple courts with them, walking and leaping and praising God.

Therefore repent and turn back so that your sins may be wiped out,

The kings of the earth stood together, and the rulers assembled together, against the Lord and against his Christ.’

With great power the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was on them all.

Peter said to her, “Tell me, were the two of you paid this amount for the land?” Sapphira said, “Yes, that much.”

A crowd of people from the towns around Jerusalem also came together, bringing the sick and those troubled by unclean spirits. They were all being healed.
