It must not be this way among you! Instead whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant,

But the tenants seized his slaves, beat one, killed another, and stoned another.

Then the Pharisees went out and planned together to entrap him with his own words.

“Therefore stay alert, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.

Jesus said to him, “I tell you the truth, on this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.”

They watched Jesus closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they could accuse him.

For he had healed many, so that all who were afflicted with diseases pressed toward him in order to touch him.

They cast out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them.

Now when Jesus had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about the parable.

His disciples answered him, “Where can someone get enough bread in this desolate place to satisfy these people?”

After he took the children in his arms, he placed his hands on them and blessed them.

The man said to him, “Teacher, I have wholeheartedly obeyed all these laws since my youth.”

Many spread their cloaks on the road and others spread branches they had cut in the fields.

Then they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians to trap him with his own words.

Then he began to curse, and he swore with an oath, “I do not know this man you are talking about!”

During the feast it was customary to release one prisoner to the people, whomever they requested.

(just as it is written in the law of the Lord, “Every firstborn male will be set apart to the Lord”),

So he stood over her, commanded the fever, and it left her. Immediately she got up and began to serve them.

Give to everyone who asks you, and do not ask for your possessions back from the person who takes them away.
