Therefore my heart was glad and my tongue rejoiced; my body also will live in hope,

Therefore let all the house of Israel know beyond a doubt that God has made this Jesus whom you crucified both Lord and Christ.”

With many other words he testified and exhorted them saying, “Save yourselves from this perverse generation!”

But to keep this matter from spreading any further among the people, let us warn them to speak no more to anyone in this name.”

When Ananias heard these words he collapsed and died, and great fear gripped all who heard about it.

God exalted him to his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

And we are witnesses of these events, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.”

But carefully select from among you, brothers, seven men who are well-attested, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may put in charge of this necessary task.

saying, “Give me this power too, so that everyone I place my hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.”

You have no share or part in this matter because your heart is not right before God!

Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that he may perhaps forgive you for the intent of your heart.

Then the eunuch said to Philip, “Please tell me, who is the prophet saying this about – himself or someone else?”

So Philip started speaking, and beginning with this scripture proclaimed the good news about Jesus to him.
