Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it will be hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven!

Then Peter said to him, “Look, we have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?”

As Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve aside privately and said to them on the way,

But Jesus called them and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in high positions use their authority over them.

If anyone says anything to you, you are to say, ‘The Lord needs them,’ and he will send them at once.”

“Tell the people of Zion, ‘Look, your king is coming to you, unassuming and seated on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.’”

“What do you think? A man had two sons. He went to the first and said, ‘Son, go and work in the vineyard today.’

Jesus answered them, “You are deceived, because you don’t know the scriptures or the power of God.

‘The Lord said to my lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet”’?

Therefore pay attention to what they tell you and do it. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they teach.

For I tell you, you will not see me from now until you say, ‘Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!’”

So then, if someone says to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out, or ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe him.

The one with the two talents also came and said, ‘Sir, you entrusted two talents to me. See, I have gained two more.’

When Jesus learned of this, he said to them, “Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a good service for me.

and said, “What will you give me to betray him into your hands?” So they set out thirty silver coins for him.

He answered, “The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me.

Jesus said to him, “Friend, do what you are here to do.” Then they came and took hold of Jesus and arrested him.

So after they had assembled, Pilate said to them, “Whom do you want me to release for you, Jesus Barabbas or Jesus who is called the Christ?”

The governor asked them, “Which of the two do you want me to release for you?” And they said, “Barabbas!”

But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.
