Jesus went out again by the sea. The whole crowd came to him, and he taught them.

He appointed twelve (whom he named apostles), so that they would be with him and he could send them to preach

So he called them and spoke to them in parables: “How can Satan cast out Satan?

And the demonic spirits begged him, “Send us into the pigs. Let us enter them.”

Send them away so that they can go into the surrounding countryside and villages and buy something for themselves to eat.”

Then he went up with them into the boat, and the wind ceased. They were completely astonished,

Then they came to Capernaum. After Jesus was inside the house he asked them, “What were you discussing on the way?”

Brother will hand over brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rise against parents and have them put to death.

While they were there, the time came for her to deliver her child.

An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were absolutely terrified.

Then he began to tell them, “Today this scripture has been fulfilled even as you heard it being read.”

So he went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath he began to teach the people.

(Now about five thousand men were there.) Then he said to his disciples, “Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each.”

Woe to you! You build the tombs of the prophets whom your ancestors killed.

Someone asked him, “Lord, will only a few be saved?” So he said to them,

Then when Jesus noticed how the guests chose the places of honor, he told them a parable. He said to them,

Then the rich man said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’

As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, “Why are you untying that colt?”

He answered them, “I will also ask you a question, and you tell me:

So he said to them, “Then give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
