He swore to her, “Whatever you ask I will give you, up to half my kingdom.”

Although it grieved the king deeply, he did not want to reject her request because of his oath and his guests.

Then he went up with them into the boat, and the wind ceased. They were completely astonished,

Then he looked up to heaven and said with a sigh, “Ephphatha” (that is, “Be opened”).

And immediately the man’s ears were opened, his tongue loosened, and he spoke plainly.

He spoke openly about this. So Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him.

When the whole crowd saw him, they were amazed and ran at once and greeted him.

Then Jesus said to him, “‘If you are able?’ All things are possible for the one who believes.”

Immediately the father of the boy cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!”

But Jesus said to them, “He wrote this commandment for you because of your hard hearts.

But at this statement, the man looked sad and went away sorrowful, for he was very rich.

Peter began to speak to him, “Look, we have left everything to follow you!”

Many scolded him to get him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Both those who went ahead and those who followed kept shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!

Peter remembered and said to him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered.”

There were seven brothers. The first one married, and when he died he had no children.

You will be hated by everyone because of my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

The one on the roof must not come down or go inside to take anything out of his house.

The one in the field must not turn back to get his cloak.

Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘Look, there he is!’ do not believe him.
