Then when Jesus noticed how the guests chose the places of honor, he told them a parable. He said to them,

They devour widows’ property, and as a show make long prayers. They will receive a more severe punishment.”

But when these things begin to happen, stand up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

Then Jesus led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands, he blessed them.

Jesus told the servants, “Fill the water jars with water.” So they filled them up to the very top.
