Just as the Lord commanded Moses, so Aaron placed it before the Testimony for safekeeping.

Then Moses cried out to the Lord, “What will I do with this people? – a little more and they will stone me!”

for he said, “For a hand was lifted up to the throne of the Lord – that the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.”

Now I know that the Lord is greater than all the gods, for in the thing in which they dealt proudly against them he has destroyed them.”

At three times in the year all your males will appear before the Lord God.

The first of the firstfruits of your soil you must bring to the house of the Lord your God. “You must not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.

You must serve the Lord your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will remove sickness from your midst.

Moses alone may come near the Lord, but the others must not come near, nor may the people go up with him.”

He sent young Israelite men, and they offered burnt offerings and sacrificed young bulls for peace offerings to the Lord.

Now the appearance of the glory of the Lord was like a devouring fire on the top of the mountain in plain view of the people.

“You are to make a plate of pure gold and engrave on it the way a seal is engraved: “Holiness to the Lord.”

When Aaron sets up the lamps around sundown he is to burn incense on it; it is to be a regular incense offering before the Lord throughout your generations.

Everyone who crosses over to those numbered, from twenty years old and up, is to pay an offering to the Lord.

And the incense that you are to make, you must not make for yourselves using the same recipe; it is to be most holy to you, belonging to the Lord.

When Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it, and Aaron made a proclamation and said, “Tomorrow will be a feast to the Lord.”

The Lord said to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against me – that person I will wipe out of my book.

And the Lord sent a plague on the people because they had made the calf – the one Aaron made.

For you must not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.
