Do not give her archers time to string their bows or to put on their coats of armor. Do not spare any of her young men. Completely destroy her whole army.

And concerning them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says: ‘You will listen carefully yet will never understand, you will look closely yet will never comprehend.

A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road. Others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.

He also said to them, “A lamp isn’t brought to be put under a basket or under a bed, is it? Isn’t it to be placed on a lampstand?

Then the high priest stood up before them and asked Jesus, “Have you no answer? What is this that they are testifying against you?”

Then the father realized that it was the very time Jesus had said to him, “Your son will live,” and he himself believed along with his entire household.

Pilate asked, “What is truth?” When he had said this he went back outside to the Jewish leaders and announced, “I find no basis for an accusation against him.
