Then out of the smoke came locusts onto the earth, and they were given power like that of the scorpions of the earth.

They had breastplates like iron breastplates, and the sound of their wings was like the noise of many horse-drawn chariots charging into battle.

Then the four angels who had been prepared for this hour, day, month, and year were set free to kill a third of humanity.

Then the angel I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven

and she fled into the wilderness where a place had been prepared for her by God, so she could be taken care of for 1,260 days.

Now when the dragon realized that he had been thrown down to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child.

So the beast opened his mouth to blaspheme against God – to blaspheme both his name and his dwelling place, that is, those who dwell in heaven.

He performed momentous signs, even making fire come down from heaven in front of people

Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death – the lake of fire.

If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, that person was thrown into the lake of fire.

The nations will walk by its light and the kings of the earth will bring their grandeur into it.

Let both grow together until the harvest. At harvest time I will tell the reapers, “First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned, but then gather the wheat into my barn.”’”

If your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life crippled or lame than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire.

The other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he replied, “Unless I see the wounds from the nails in his hands, and put my finger into the wounds from the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will never believe it!”

When they heard this, they entered the temple courts at daybreak and began teaching. Now when the high priest and those who were with him arrived, they summoned the Sanhedrin – that is, the whole high council of the Israelites – and sent to the jail to have the apostles brought before them.

There is danger not only that this business of ours will come into disrepute, but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis will be regarded as nothing, and she whom all the province of Asia and the world worship will suffer the loss of her greatness.”

(The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has testified concerning his Son.)

He sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and look carefully for the child. When you find him, inform me so that I can go and worship him as well.”
