“Do not get married and do not have children here in this land.

“You say, ‘The Lord has raised up prophets of good news for us here in Babylon.’

So here is what the Lord has to say about Israel and Judah.

The Amorites managed to remain in Har Heres, Aijalon, and Shaalbim. Whenever the tribe of Joseph was strong militarily, the Amorites were forced to do hard labor.

He said to her, “Stand watch at the entrance to the tent. If anyone comes along and asks you, ‘Is there a man here?’ say ‘No.’”

She said, “Just as surely as you are alive, my lord, I am the woman who previously stood here with you in order to pray to the Lord.

So David said to Uriah, “Stay here another day. Tomorrow I will send you back.” So Uriah stayed in Jerusalem both that day and the following one.

He went into a cave there and spent the night. All of a sudden the Lord spoke to him, “Why are you here, Elijah?”

I heard the voice of the sovereign master say, “Whom will I send? Who will go on our behalf?” I answered, “Here I am, send me!”

I tell you the truth, there are some standing here who will not experience death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”

Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to the disciples, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.”

Here I am, standing by the spring, and the daughters of the people who live in the town are coming out to draw water.

Why have you brought up the Lord’s community into this wilderness? So that we and our cattle should die here?

Now look! Here is the king you have chosen – the one that you asked for! Look, the Lord has given you a king!

At that time, some Pharisees came up and said to Jesus, “Get away from here, because Herod wants to kill you.”

Why did you say, ‘She is my sister,’ so that I took her to be my wife? Here is your wife! Take her and go!”

for I really was kidnapped from the land of the Hebrews and I have done nothing wrong here for which they should put me in a dungeon.”

Joseph said to the people, “Since I have bought you and your land today for Pharaoh, here is seed for you. Cultivate the land.

The king was told, “Nathan the prophet is here.” Nathan entered and bowed before the king with his face to the floor.

Jesus answered, “You unbelieving and perverse generation! How much longer must I be with you and endure you? Bring your son here.”
