He answered, “I told you already and you didn’t listen. Why do you want to hear it again? You people don’t want to become his disciples too, do you?”

Righteous Father, even if the world does not know you, I know you, and these men know that you sent me.

and said to him, ‘Go out from your country and from your relatives, and come to the land I will show you.’

Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus the Christ heals you. Get up and make your own bed!” And immediately he got up.

and said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul! You must stand before Caesar, and God has graciously granted you the safety of all who are sailing with you.’

Then go quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He has been raised from the dead. He is going ahead of you into Galilee. You will see him there.’ Listen, I have told you!”

But when you are invited, go and take the least important place, so that when your host approaches he will say to you, ‘Friend, move up here to a better place.’ Then you will be honored in the presence of all who share the meal with you.

But get up and stand on your feet, for I have appeared to you for this reason, to designate you in advance as a servant and witness to the things you have seen and to the things in which I will appear to you.

You desire and you do not have; you murder and envy and you cannot obtain; you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask;

I tell you the truth, you will never get out of there until you have paid the last penny!

And if someone wants to sue you and to take your tunic, give him your coat also.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor’ and ‘hate your enemy.’

But I say to you, love your enemy and pray for those who persecute you,

And a leper approached, and bowed low before him, saying, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”

Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven’ or to say, ‘Stand up and walk’?

“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace but a sword.

Now someone came up to him and said, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to gain eternal life?”

Take what is yours and go. I want to give to this last man the same as I gave to you.

But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher and you are all brothers.

So also you, when you see all these things, know that he is near, right at the door.
