Then the high priest stood up before them and asked Jesus, “Have you no answer? What is this that they are testifying against you?”

where for forty days he endured temptations from the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and when they were completed, he was famished.

And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of the prophet Elisha, yet none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian.”

Simon answered, “Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing! But at your word I will lower the nets.”

I tell you, among those born of women no one is greater than John. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he is.”

“No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand so that those who come in can see the light.

“No one after lighting a lamp puts it in a hidden place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, so that those who come in can see the light.

But the twelve understood none of these things. This saying was hidden from them, and they did not grasp what Jesus meant.

Then Jesus said to them, “When I sent you out with no money bag, or traveler’s bag, or sandals, you didn’t lack anything, did you?” They replied, “Nothing.”

A third time he said to them, “Why? What wrong has he done? I have found him guilty of no crime deserving death. I will therefore flog him and release him.”

Then he took it down, wrapped it in a linen cloth, and placed it in a tomb cut out of the rock, where no one had yet been buried.

John replied, “No one can receive anything unless it has been given to him from heaven.

No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.

So Jesus added, “Because of this I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has allowed him to come.”

For no one who seeks to make a reputation for himself does anything in secret. If you are doing these things, show yourself to the world.”

Hasn’t Moses given you the law? Yet not one of you keeps the law! Why do you want to kill me?”

Yet here he is, speaking publicly, and they are saying nothing to him. Do the rulers really know that this man is the Christ?

So then they tried to seize Jesus, but no one laid a hand on him, because his time had not yet come.

She replied, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “I do not condemn you either. Go, and from now on do not sin any more.”]]
