And now, Father, glorify me at your side with the glory I had with you before the world was created.

I am praying on behalf of them. I am not praying on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those you have given me, because they belong to you.

and said to him, ‘Go out from your country and from your relatives, and come to the land I will show you.’

But Peter said to him, “May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could acquire God’s gift with money!

You have no share or part in this matter because your heart is not right before God!

Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that he may perhaps forgive you for the intent of your heart.

because I am with you, and no one will assault you to harm you, because I have many people in this city.”

So Agrippa said to Paul, “You have permission to speak for yourself.” Then Paul held out his hand and began his defense:

and said, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul! You must stand before Caesar, and God has graciously granted you the safety of all who are sailing with you.’

and thus the Gentiles glorify God for his mercy. As it is written, “Because of this I will confess you among the Gentiles, and I will sing praises to your name.”

For he says, “I heard you at the acceptable time, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” Look, now is the acceptable time; look, now is the day of salvation!

And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, proclaimed the gospel to Abraham ahead of time, saying, “All the nations will be blessed in you.”

I put this charge before you, Timothy my child, in keeping with the prophecies once spoken about you, in order that with such encouragement you may fight the good fight.

I charge you before God who gives life to all things and Christ Jesus who made his good confession before Pontius Pilate,

Because of this I remind you to rekindle God’s gift that you possess through the laying on of my hands.

The reason I left you in Crete was to set in order the remaining matters and to appoint elders in every town, as I directed you.

I, Paul, have written this letter with my own hand: I will repay it. I could also mention that you owe me your very self.

But now I ask you, lady (not as if I were writing a new commandment to you, but the one we have had from the beginning), that we love one another.

But I hope to see you right away, and we will speak face to face. (1:15) Peace be with you. The friends here greet you. Greet the friends there by name.

Therefore, repent! If not, I will come against you quickly and make war against those people with the sword of my mouth.
