Pharaoh said, “I will release you so that you may sacrifice to the Lord your God in the desert. Only you must not go very far. Do pray for me.”

Moses said, “It is not the sound of those who shout for victory, nor is it the sound of those who cry because they are overcome, but the sound of singing I hear.”

“Obey what I am commanding you this day. I am going to drive out before you the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

Moses said, “The people around me are 600,000 on foot; but you say, ‘I will give them meat, that they may eat for a whole month.’

And what other great nation has statutes and ordinances as just as this whole law that I am about to share with you today?

So I must die here in this land; I will not cross the Jordan. But you are going over and will possess that good land.

Be sure you do not forget the Lord your God by not keeping his commandments, ordinances, and statutes that I am giving you today.

the blessing if you take to heart the commandments of the Lord your God that I am giving you today,

for you may do so only in the place the Lord chooses in one of your tribal areas – there you may do everything I am commanding you.
